Jetaun Maxwell-Founder and Artistic Director
A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Ms. Maxwell’s dance training includes Ballet, Jazz, Modern, West African, Haitian, Brazilian, and liturgical styles is praise, worship, prophetic, warfare, and travail expression. Ms. Maxwell has studied and performed in Trinidad/Tobago, Bahia , Brazil , London , England , New York , and throughout California . Her experience includes both directorship and choreography of gospel stage plays such as Back 2 Church, Bent But Not Broken and formerly Nu Prayz Dance Company. Prior performances include Kekeli Dance/Drum Ensemble, and Rhythm Village Percussion/Dance Ensemble. She also teaches, conducts workshops, and gives seminars on dance.

 

Sandra Lubeck
Ms. Lubeck found her love for dance as a child, which later led her to pursue more formal training in dance programs at The College of William and Mary, Regent University , and Norfolk Dance Academy. She has performed in Annie, Fame, and Tribute to Off Broadway and inspirational endeavors have placed her in C.S. Lewis’s Narnia, One Small Child, a four year term with the Regent Dance Series, All God’s Children Gotta Dance, and other related performances with The Daystar Dance Movement. Dance experience: Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary and Latin style dances. In 2005, Ms. Lubeck added her skills in choreography to one of the concert selections. Ms. Lubeck joined DTG in 2002.



Staci Collier
Ms. Collier has performed for over 15 years at various theaters throughout the Bay area including the Oakland Ensemble Theatre.   Ms. Collier debuted with the Skyline Advanced Dancers in 1985, in a KRON performance called "Home Turf" and was recognized as top choreographer in 1986.   Her dance experience includes:  African, Modern, Ballet and Jazz.  "Dance to me is an expression of love, joy, peace, and suffering.”    Ms. Collier has been with DTG since 2003.

 

 

Tracy McDonald
Ms. McDonald’s fascination with dance began at the age of 7.   She has studied ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, and African.  Ms. McDonald was the recipient of a 6 week scholarship with the Governors School for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia where she majored in Dance and minored in Theater.   She also majored in dance with a concentration in jazz at Point Park College.  This is Ms. McDonalds first season with Dance Theater of the Gospel.
