Miriam's
Dance (2002)
After
Moses freed the Israelites from Egypt
and God miraculously led them through
the Red Sea, Exodus 15 states that Moses'
sister, Miriam, took a tambourine in
her hand and led the women in a dance
of praise and thanksgiving. Miriam's
dance highlights the spiritual place
that all of us must come to in our lives
where we can dance as Miriam did, the
dance of freedom. Whether we are
enslaved mentally, physically, of spiritually,
true freedom will not come until we know
WHO can set us free. Only in Christ
Jesus can one be set free from pain,
stress, financial burdens, and political
trappings. "It
is for freedom that Christ has set us
free. Stand firm then and do not
let yourselves be burdened again by a
yoke of slavery." (Galatians 5:1
NIV)
Back
To Eden (2002)
Creation
tells the first love story between man
and woman and ultimately a love
story between God and man. What
would life have been like if Adam and
Eve had not sinned? Can we even
imagine? the peaceful ocean,
beautiful animals of all kinds, no fear,
no death, no hate, no sorrow, no crying
or pain? Our life on earth can
not compare, not even remotely, to the
endless beauty that we were purposed
for. Eden speaks of a peace, a
peace that surpasses all understanding. Sounds
like what heaven will be like.
Joy
and Pain (2002)
"I
tell you the truth, you will weep and
mourn while the world rejoices. You
will grieve, but your grief will turn
to joy." John 16: 20-24. Joy
and Pain takes
you through the highs of life and the
lows of crisis and disappointment, yet
never losing sight of the hope that always
prevails. Although there will always
be days and times in our lives where
everything seems to go wrong, Joy and
Pain says don't give up, but give it,
everything to God, and He will turn your
weeping into laughter. You must
trust that He will handle every situation,
as long as it is left in the hands of
God. Then experience the Joy.
Wade
in the Water (2002)
"I
tell you the truth, no one can enter
the kingdom of God unless he is born
of water and the Spirit...You must be
born again." John 3:5-7 This
mini piece tells the story of one woman
and a married couple's struggle with
making the life changing decision to
surrender their entire being to God. Music

4
Women (2003)
The
portrayal of four very different women,
whose separate directions and painful
life choices result in binding oppression,
loss of self-identity, compromise, and
bitterness. Each one with their
blinding pain and years of regret finds
herself on a lonely road, at the end
of hope, and led towards an undeniable
inner search for the truth. Will
their paths that reveal the pride of
life lead them home? This musical
theater piece touches everyone in a different
way and leaves no one the same. Dance
pieces in this number include: 4 Women,
Pride of Life, Is My Living In Vain.
Masquerade
(2003)
The
story of a man and the story of a mask. Anyone
who chooses to wear a mask will cover
the truth of themself and remain a prisoner
to the very thing they long to be free
from. To mask your life, your pain,
your gifts, your praise, your emotions
is to keep yourself from being vulnerable. And,
anyone who hides long enough will not
know how to find themself when they have
had enough of living a fantasy. When
no one knows who you are, not even yourself,
then all you can do, have to do, must
do...is look up, pray up, cry up, moan
up, scream up, and reach up to the only
One who really know you, because He created
you. Then believe, and by your
next heart beat your life will begin...freely
Don't
Cry (2003)
Using the music of Kirk Franklin, this
mini piece gives a detailed look at the
burial and the resurrection of Jesus
Christ. The audience and dancers
alike are deeply moved by the Holy Spirit
as they witness the sincerity and compassion
of the way Jesus' body was taken care
of after the crucifixion. Then,
the powerful resurrection of Christ takes
Mary Magdalene by surprise ending with
the magnificent celebration of the truth
that the Son of Man lives.
Heaven
(2004)
Heaven
deals with personal decisions
that one must make on a daily basis
as to whom they ultimately will serve. This
piece depicts the social ills and
deception of everyday life, choices,
and struggles that lead one to come
face to face with the grappling truth
of, "Choose ye this day whom
ye will serve." With the
background music of Heaven set to
songs by Nina Simone, Curtis Mayfield,
and Shekinah Glory Ministry, this
piece undoubtedly will take you through
the inner thoughts of the human condition,
the vulnerability of mankind, evoke
a personal soul searching and finally
bring the faithful Home for "blessed
are the pure in heart, for they shall
see God".

Waters (2004)

Passages
Through Job (2004)
"I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth." Job 19:25
This dance chronicles the journey of five people who like Job, pass through seasons of suffering and still find the blessing in the valley that represents the wilderness of life and its sorrow. In this valley they find that there is beauty for ashes, relief for their fears, healing for the broken, and companionship with God. For those that come near to the throne of Grace, they find help and mercy during their time of need.
