Dance is
what you transform
it to be and
inspire it to be
when you allow your
body to speak movements
of transformation,
guidance, integrity,
heartfelt expression,
encouragement, inspiration
and love. One
who moves in this
knowledge and wisdom
will truly bring
feedom to others. A
innate first language
of a child is to
dance and to do so
without fear. But,
as children grow
older and become
more observant of
those who watch them,
fear of man over
freedom is embraced.
The
acceptance
of expression through
another's eyes can
often mask the reality
of dance expression
in ourself and bind
the heart from
freely dancing. In
any area of life,
when life hits hard,
one is forced to
make a decision whether
to confront or retreat,
hide or be free from
the things that bind
us. Anyone
who chooses to wear
a mask will cover
the truth of their
identity and remain
a prisoner to the
very thing they long
to be free from.
In
dance
as in real life,
to mask your life,
your pain, your gifts,
your praise,
or your emotion
is to keep yourself
from being vulnerable. And,
anyone who hides
long enough will
not know how to find
their true self when
they have had enough
of living a fantasy. When
no one knows who
they are anymore,
not even yourself, ...look
up, pray up,
cry up, moan
up, scream up,
reach up to the
only One who
really knows
you, because
He created you,
then believe,
and by your next
heart beat your
life will begin...freely. |
